How is PII stored?
We store all PII on our secure network, and we strictly limit the disclosure of all PII to our employees and independent contractors such as our IT consultant who have a need to know it. All PII is transferred from the browser to the web server through the secure connection protocol HTTPS (Hyper Text Transport Protocol Secure). HTTPS connections secure website data exchange by encrypting it first. This means that no one can listen in and intercept the communication. Additionally, through the use of advanced firewall technology, the web host can detect and stop an attacker from exploiting software vulnerabilities, brute force access control attempts, or mitigating Distributed Denial of Services (DDOS) attacks. Regular server maintenance and patch applications further protect the data by assuring the latest security protections are in place.
